74% of young people motivated to study harder after an Inspiring the Future session

Research out of the UK shows the benefits of the Inspiring the Future campaign

Inspiring the Future changes students experience and aspirations, as proven by recent research conducted by the pioneers of Inspiring the Future in the UK. Students across various career events were surveyed recently in order to find out how they feel they’re being helped to plan for their future!

Among other results, they discovered the session helped 89% of young people to learn something new and useful about the career path they wish to follow. As an added bonus 74% said the event had motivated them to study harder! What was also evident among the results was the more volunteers a young person saw, the more useful they found the event as this helped to build their confidence and gave them more information regarding future options.

Clearly from what young people are telling us, the key to informing their futures is giving them as many chances as possible to hear and learn from people in the world of work so sign up as a volunteer for free to help inspire the future! Read more findings from the UK survey below.

Can you spare 1 hour a year to talk to young people about your career?

Inspiring the Future Australia needs you! A nationwide campaign dedicated to connecting volunteers from the world of work to schools through secure matching software, Inspiring the Future is launching in March 2017.

At the heart of Inspiring the Future, are volunteers talking informally about their job, career and their educational route, in order to broaden horizons and raise the aspirations of young people.

Ahead of the formal launch to schools we are currently recruiting our first 1,000 volunteers across Australia. Please spread the word!
