About Work Placement

If you are undertaking a VET course through school, TAFE or college it’s likely that you need to complete two mandatory work placements for a week in each of your selected courses.

Work Placement and your RTO organise the Host employer for placement – BUT you are responsible for the experience you get from this.

Please be prompt in returning all the necessary paperwork the school issues you. Take all relevant paperwork with you on placement.

Work placement is your chance to learn new skills and also to demonstrate how your classroom learnt skills can be applied in a real workplace.

Work placement can kick-start careers and improve employment chances. A positive review from an employer can be added to your resume and give you a positive reference towards future employment.
